Going to the gym and hiring
a personal trainer was what finally clicked for me. My personal
trainer was also my nutritionist and was the key to changing my eating
behavior. What works for me may not be what works for you. But
exercise is a key with whatever you choose. Just don't quit until you
find out what clicks.
If you choose a personal trainer find one that knows how to bring you along slowly. It took me five months before I lost a pound but I lost inches. I had to build my inner core and balance before progressing in my routine. Don't give up. I have been training for two years now and have lost 70 out of the 100 lbs I set as my goal. In the beginning I couldn't stand on one foot.....do a squat.....or a push up.
Now I circuit train doing squats, push ups, planks, lunges, agility drills, and jog for 1 1/2 miles.
For the first time I am confident I will reach my goal.
